Gratuitys (Tips)

What is the appropriate amount to tip my Therapist?

We must get asked that every day, and although we cant tell you how much you should give to him/her hopefully some of this information will help answer your question.

In several professions including massage, a gratuity is the “norm” now.
However choosing to give a tip or not is completely up to you.

Clients who choose to tip always ask, “How much is good?”

If you choose to leave your therapist a tip and don’t know how much is customary to give, here’s a few ‘tips’ 😉

First, the tip given to your THERAPIST is separate from the fee you pay to OIKOS for the session.

Most therapists at our company routinely report receiving about 25-50% of the rate of the session – some more some less.

But that is not mandatory. And not a set amount. Clients are always free to leave their therapists whatever they choose to.

There is no obligation to tip although most if not all clients do.

We hope that helps answer any questions you may have.

Note: Our therapists are instructed to decline personal checks as a rule of thumb.
